Of all the scenarios I saw playing out this season, this isn`t one I had envisioned. Well at least half of it isn`t. PR#1 Ninja Ruffians (9-2) played like a number 1 seed, beating former champion PR#5 Despised Icon (7-4) 170 to 157. Icon was trailing huge and was looking to D. Williams for a monster game to save the season. He received a massive 53 points, but fell short. What nobody could have seen coming is what Mrs. Chicken (5-6) did to PR#3 Iraq Smells (8-3). Brian Westbrook has finally returned, and posted a crazy 61 points to help Chicken fly past Iraq, 146 to 91. It makes for one heck of a championship game, and with big, game changers playing on both sides...it`s gunna get a lil crazy.

Mrs. Chicken vs Ninja Ruffians. Omega Conference Champion vs Alpha Conference Champion. David vs Goliath. We`ve seen teams get hot late in the season before, but after finishing the season with a losing record, Chicken has finally learned how to fly. She came ready to play from the start of the playoffs, and is in the middle of her best winning streak to date. Much of that is thanks in large part to Westbrook and his otherworldly abilities. Any team turns into a force with him in the lineup (look what Snake Plissken did last week in the NFC) and in Chickens case, neutralizes a weaker WR corps. Chicken does have a slight inconsistency problem this season, failing to reach the season average 7 times over the last 14 weeks, but has had 4 big weeks in the last 5. With Brian playing at home, against the Browns on MNF...that could be the tale of this championship game. Jay Cutler continues a solid season, as does her Bucs Def. And while Tony Gonzalez isn`t a champion in the NFL....he`ll certainly help in this championship bid. He`s been a one man wrecking crew for the Chiefs, and always seems to get his. Alot is going to depend on the supporting cast, and differences between WR`s. Amani Toomer and Torry Holt just haven`t been cutting the mustard, and are posting very pedestrian scores. Had this game been played last week, the lack of production from these 2 would have cost her the ultimate prize...the AFC Championship

On the other side of this contest we have a very predicable outcome, as Ninja Ruffians lived up to his trash talk, and his #1 seed...posting a weekly high score of 170 last week. It marked the 5th time he has done that this season and will continue to be very dangerous this week. Chris Johnson (among other rookie RBs) has been a big help this season, with his blazing 4.2/40 speed. He has the ability to live in a RBBC and still break big TDs every time he touches the ball. Reggie Bush is back from injury (despite not playing for Ruffians last week) and looked extremely fast last week. He looked like the front runner he was earlier in the season, and like Chris, can change the scope of this game very quickly. No matter which WRs start, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson and Dwayne Bowe have been big difference makers for Ruffians this season, posting consistent solid scores week in and week out. The matchups aren`t flattering...but their competition on the other side of this game isn`t either. The other strong point for Ninja has been Kurt Warner. Despite a few lackluster weeks, he`s been at the top of the food chain for quite sometime...and could help win this championship on his way to Dan Marino`s record. Everyone lays an egg sooner or later, and while Ninja already laid one....we have to wonder if he`s got another one in him.

What else can I say about this matchup that isn`t already obvious. Ninja is outscoring Chicken by 20+ points a game. Had this taken place last week, despite BW`s 61pt day, Ruffians still had enough firepower to win. But nobody should overlook how hot Chicken has gotten and how close of a game she can make this.

Who will represent the AFC, holding their title high, and putting it on the line against the best the NFC has to offer?
